Automatic Delist

Delist items from all marketplaces it is listed on

Available in unreleased version: 1.0.6.11

Tracking your listing

Our app allows you to delist items that are added to your inventory from all marketplaces they are listed on. The inventory feature is in BETA and currently allows you to track the:

  • quantity

  • the marketplaces an item is listed on.

  • sku

  • barcode

  • title

Presently, the main benefit of adding a listing to your inventory is that it allows you to automatically delist a sold item from the marketplaces it is listed on by clicking one button.

Very soon we will be adding support for more data on your listings, so you can fully manage all your listing through the website.

NOTE: Our app supports variants. If your item contains variants (for example on depop the only variant that exists presently is sizes) then each variant will be a separate listing that can be linked together. Learn more about linking/grouping variants together here.

How to track a listing

STEP 1: First, you will need to go to your listings page on the marketplace you would like to use as the source of your import to your inventory. You can find out what page to visit on each marketplace here

STEP 2:

Then select the listings that you would like to import and click 'Inventory' when selecting the marketplace.

Information available/supported for the listing will automatically get imported into the form

STEP 3:

Review the details like the quantity, sku, barcorde etc. and add any information that was not available on the listing

STEP 4 (Optional):

If there isn't already a pre-filled listing group id then you can link your inventory listing with another inventory listing that exists (typically another variant of the same item). Learn what listing group id's are here

Again, the purpose of this is to group variants so you don't have to bother with this step for listings without variants OR if the field is already filled out by our app.

STEP 5:

Now you are able to associate your listing with listings on other marketplaces! In order to know where to delist from we'll need you to add the url of your listings on other marketplaces.

  • Click the switch on the right side of the marketplace name

You can select items to delete by either going to your listings page on our crosslister website or by using the extension to select the item on your listings page on any marketplace.

How to delisting works

If a listing on a marketplace is a multi quantity/variant item then delisting will reduce the quantity of that variant by exactly 1.

If a listing does not have quantities/variants the listing is deactivated or deleted (Depending on what the marketplace supports.

Here are the specific way each marketplace handles delisting:

Depop:

  • Listings without size variants or multiple quantities: the listing gets deleted.

  • Listing with variants or multiple quantities: the quantity reduced by 1 (if delisting a variant then the quantity is reduced on that variant only)

    • If a size variant is out of stock but there are multiple other variants on the listing in stock, the specific variant will be deleted and the post will be saved.

    • If a listing with one variant/size or a multi quantity listing goes out of stock (zero quantity) then the listing will be deleted.

Group listings together (Listing Group Id)

The app splits variants on a listing into individual listings in your inventory. You are able to link listings together by using a listing group id. The listing group id is you telling the app: These two listings are variants of each other.

When you import a listing with variants from a marketplace into your inventory, each variant will be given the same listing group id automatically. So in most cases you will not have to manually generate one.

However some marketplaces do not support many variations and/or multi quantity items.

Example:

Let's say you sell two bracelets (Blue and Red) on depop. Depop does not allow you to provide multiple colour options outside of the description. So to list these items on depop you will typically either

  • Create two separate listings (one for each colour)

  • Create one listing and ask potential buyers to message you what colour they want.

In the first case you can import each individual listing to your inventory then generate a listing group id for the listing by clicking the button. Then you save this id and add it to the import form on the second listing.

In the second case you can import the listing twice and then generate a listing group id on one listing, then add it to the second listing as well.

How to generate a listing group id

To generate a listing group id you just have to make sure that you have selected the checkbox asking if your listing is a variant. Then you can click the 'Generate Listing Group Id' button.
